I sell stuff on eBay from time to time, mainly vintage items. I had some chairs which I had described as "shabby chic" Had lots of bids but then eBay pulled the listing 24 hours before it ended as you are not supposed to use the word shabby chic as a description unless the item is actually the brand "Shabby chic"
I thought it was a decorating style, had no idea it was a brand.
But what a joke as there are thousands of listings using those words that are not the brand. I relisted the chairs calling them "chic not shabby" and they did sell. Im guessing it was a competitor who dobbed me in so that my listing was cancelled. So a lesson was learned, down but not out, chic not shabby!

It actually came from when I was on radio answering questions for a govvy department here in West Oz. Gary Carvolth called me that one day and it kind of stuck.
I also reflects my interst in cars, but more of the German marques, than anything else.
