When the president of the USA makes comments like he has Im compelled to think that he alone is stirring up sentiment and is deliberately intimidating Mr Zimmerman, no?
The media hasnt had to do anything except let Obama do the provoking.
Now what kind of leader of a major nation is that?

It's a great leader that confronts an injustice instead of throwing it in the too hard basket.
Do you really think if the races were reversed the outcome would be the same ? An armed black guy with a violent history follows and confronts an unarmed white teenager who gets a few punches in before being shot dead ?

There have actually been many cases where the roles were reversed, one going through the courts right now, where a Hispanic was shot and killed by an American African. 'Stand your ground' seems to have a high success as a defence

I have watched almost all of the televised court proceedings, and much of the interviews since then.
Thankfully George Zimmerman was found not guilty.

There is nothing racial in George Zimmerman's actions.Trayvon isn't this innocent little boy they like to portray him. He has been suspended from school several times. He was found to have stolen jewellry in his backpack and burgerly tools. He's been involved in fights, and a user of drugs.

If anyone is racist it was Trayvon, referring to George Zimmerman as a creepy *** cracker. He assumed George was a rapist, acording to the friend (Rachel) who was on the phone with Trayvon, just before he was killed. She thought Trayvon was going to "whoop ***" George, and call her back.

There had been a rash of burgularies in the gated community, and George was head of the neighbourhood watch. All George was trying to do was keep an eye on the suspicious person, who was looking into houses, who was concealing his face with a hoodie, and going very slow...when it is raining.

George Zimmerman never fought back, until he thought he was going to die.
If George didn't defend his life at that point, would Trayvin be facing a murder trial?

I'm ashamed of the reaction to George Zimmerman. The protests and name calling. He should come to Canada to live.

I must say, this stuff about Zimmerman has been a big eye opener for me. I was under the impression that Zimmerman was just a racist murderer, however it now appears to be a little different.

It's obvious that the worlds media decided from the start what they wanted people to think, and then ran with that.

Can't society just lock them up instead and throw away the key as per the US rule "three strikes and you are locked up for life."

Killing a fellow human being for being a petty thief or drug user is a bit much. Even in Nazi Germany or the former USSR, they never went that far.

The issue isn't whether it was right, wrong, racist or justified for Zimmerman to Kill TC or not. It was whether Zimmerman was within his rights according to their law to defend himself in such a manner.

According to their courts and their interpretation of the law he was.

If Americans are upset over this they should change their laws regarding who can carry a weapon and what is an acceptable level of self defence.

Will they change their laws? no.

This is a ridiculous claim. The facts about the young boy were pointed out because a lot of the media were making him out to be this perfect young child. He doesn't deserve to die due to his criminal history but the background story that support the defences position does need to be put forward.

If everyone could forget the skin colour in this case it would be a lot simpler. Justice has been served and protesting the case just because the boy was black is racist.

The prosecution could not prove their case. Whatever the colour of jury it cannot convict on the evidence presented to the court. It didnt stack up !

I'm certainly no expert but ones past has nothing to do with a particular trial case, only evidence. Past law infringements are only relevant for sentencing if found guilty.

Race has nothing to do with it (despite Zimmerman's alleged use of racially charged language). They were both a bunch of criminally minded thugs, if you ask me. One guy was a bulky fellow with a gun and dreams of becoming a hero. The other a little bloke, a petty thief, who was probably off his face on drugs and paranoid about being followed.

Bingo! If there were no gun involved, both people would very likely still be alive today instead of just one.

Indeed. In Australia a 17 year old and a 28 year old would just smack each other around a bit and likely walk away. Unless alcohol was involved and a king hit at 3am outside a nightclub but that is another story...
