Requirements on vacating rental property

I noted that carpet cleaning on vacating is on the lease agreement but the cleaning of hot plates, cupboards, sinks, wall, shower, toilet etc. are not. Please advise if the property manager is legally allowed to claim from bond if these cleaning (other than carpet) is not done by professional cleaners. Thank you.

Uh, it depends. Mostly on what state it was in when the tenant moved in.

Less so on what was in the lease, or what your property manager says.

you don't have to have it done profesionally but it needs to be in a comparable state to (what you can prove) what it was when you moved in.

Personally i have always campaigned to get a pro in when i move house because if you use the one from the agency they basically can't ask you back to wipe the dust from the second back step or something stupid. Each time i have lost the battle and had to clean although so far never been called back.
