Question on claiming Landloard Insurance

THis is the first time i m claiming landlords insurance. I;m claiming for malicious damage to broken windows and damaged cabinets.

There is some excess I have to pay. I have got some quotes for repairs.

I have lodged a claim and CGU says they approve it.

Now what happens? Do I call the repairer to repair, and then send CGU the bill?

Or they will arrange the repairs?

Don't go ahead without CGU telling you which quote they have selected. Afterall they have to guarantee the repairs. Call CGU and ask.

Seems like they are kinda quiet when im doing claims. They only wrote me a letter saying they will pay for this and that item, without telling me what the next step is.....

CAN ANYONE RECOMMEND ME A GOOD INSURANCE COMPANY (OTHER THAN CGU)???
