Inspiring ideas and images for brick and tile high set?

These are my plans so far.

Create space in roof line (depending on cost).
Build wrap around deck.
Render outside completely.

Goal, I am looking to turn a late 60,s B&T into a modern executive type house.

The view is good so any ideas around that would be excellent.

Im looking for inspiration, images, stories, concepts, or anything you can think of to achieve the goal.

The budget up to $100k spread over 3 years (hypothetical at this stage ;-) )

Hello all

found myself an inspiration, I hope its ok to post links in these forums, the before description almost matches the project I am looking at accept the project Im looking at has a downstairs car garage, only on one side due to the land being sloped (just cut, not filled). But the end result is similar to how I see the project I am looking at, bar the roof line and the extra height due to the below car parking.

Has anyone worked with the hardie materials before?

yes, we used it for for a 3nd storey addition pretty much as per the link by the looks of it...

cheap, and DIY friendly

you cant tell whats under the render (or similar) look 100%
