How much it costs to deregister a pty ltd company?

Hi

I have a pty ltd that's been inactive last year.
Because there's not much tax credit in it, I have decided to deregister the company.

How much does it cost to deregister the company?

Can anyone recommend me someone who can do that at minimum cost?

This company had not been used for anything other than being a trustee for my trust.

You need to send ASIC a form to deregister the company.

You will have to advertise the deregistration and fill in the form with ASIC. Also look at the constitution and find out the rules of the company surrounding this.

Does the trust have a new trustee? Properly appointed? A trust without a trustee is not a trust so take care.

HOWEVER the declaration must be satisfied or criminal charges can result. ie : The company must not have liabilities. Deregistration is not the way to wind up a company with assets or liabilities. Its 100% OK for a dead dormant nothing company.

If the annual fee has been issued but is not overdue it will generally be cancelled ! If there are fees due the deregistration wont be processed.

ASIC advertise all deregistrations by gazette and you dont need to do anything.
