Brisbane City Council Multi Unit Dwelling

Can anyone tell me what the benefits would be on purchasing a house in the Brisbane City Council Area that is approved as a multi unit dwelling. What is the definition of this?, does it add or detract from value of the property? can you reverse the it back to normal so you pay double the rates in the future if you were using the property for single residential purposes? can you still use it for single residental purposes?

I can't tell what the benefits are when the BCC has funny rules about seperate lease agreements etc. no more than 5 unrelated parties on renatl agreement.

Has anyone on here purchased a something with multi unit dwelling and set it up in a special way?
