    Yep- cheaper, tougher but in my opinion they always look fake. Much colder underfoot too, if you walk around barefoot. For cheaper reno/IP they would be perfect but higher end I would avoid.     That depends on how you do the edges. "Proper" way, that looks way better, is to remove & refit skirting boards over the top, in which case paint after. Much cheaper & quicker way, that looks worse but may not matter depending on application, is to butt up to existing skirts & put quad in. If...
