    Firstmac

Anyone here have any feedback on Firstmac? I must admit I never used to use them but have a couple of clients lately taking out their 4.74% broker special (comfortable not wanting over 80% now or in the future). I've found then quite slow on the assessment side and a bit dim reading notes...

    I just love the media

Nothing but "the big 4 have raised rates" Almost as if nobody else has. Some news services even sound as if the 0.25% was hefty

    Fibreglass Batts V Cellulose

I've heard that the Cellulose is fire retardent, cheaper to install and works and lasts better. On the other hand I believe it's a pain in the butt for Sparkys and the like should they need to do work in the ceiling. Any thoughts or experiences would be appreciated. Regards Steve

    Things keep getting tougher

They may be the 1st but I'm assuming they won't be the last to tighten policy. This just from ANZ who seem to be the pioneers in revising policies in recent times. In response to the continuing softening in the economic environment, effective Monday, 20th April 2009, ANZ will be making...

    Bank West master the backflip

Just received and announcement from Bank West. Their Rate Tracker loan is again available to the broker network. One can only assume their numbers were declining. Oh and before anyone mentions it, I'm still not a fan of the product.

    Toyota Money

Planning on calling them tomorrow but thought I'd ask here as I've never heard of them. Quoting variable rate of 8.24% with no fees. Had a client who works for them (Toyota) call me today. The rate is very low which makes me wonder if they have passed on latest rise or 2 ( a trick One Direct...

    CBA announces 0.30% rise

Just been informed that the cBA will be raisng all it's rates by 0.30%. I guess ANZ may have copped a lot of flack for it's 0.20% rise which was over and above the other majors. Looks like the others may catch up very quickly as suspected. The next couple of days will be interesting.

Did I read on here somewhere about a lender introducing 103% finance? I must be going mad (or son starting school this week :)) as I read it recently and for the life of me I can't find where. Regards Steve
