Hornsby Council The local paper for Hornsby dated 27/2/2014 p.5 has noted that the council agreed in its February meeting to reduce s94 contributions for granny flats. The rate should now be 9-10000- still ridiculous.

Thankyou thankyou Rockstar. I have just completed the basix certificate. I could not have done it without your help. I managed not to have a rainwater tank- I think it is because the flat is just one bedroom. Now to find a builder that it not going to cost the earth!

I found out that Hornsby Council is not charging s94 for those approved under complying development but is for those with DA. Our certifier said that is likely to change when the new local environment plan comes in next year.

No, it is a completely new area. With regard to the granny flat site area, there really is no land allocated to just it. We are storing bins and putting a clothesline outside it. I guess we could allocate one side of the granny flat as its own land.
