    Townsville builder

Hi Sunfish, You wouldn't happen to know a good painter or carpet guy in Townsville would you? Want to get a 2 BR unit painted and re-carpeted so shouldn't be too exy one would think.

Would you be annoyed or breach tenants for installing Foxtell without permission?

Personally? No, wouldn't bother me in the slightest and it could appeal to future tenants. I would just ensure your PM notates it for any future inspections in particular the pre/post vacation inspection, in order to rule out any obvious damage that can be taken out of the bond if necessary.

Try NQ Pest Management on 0423 313 039. He will also arrange a Building Inspection for you. About $360 all up depending on property type. You can use anyone in Qld essentially but local usually helps. I used these guys for my Townsville purchases: bytherules Conveyancing Lawyers Pty Ltd on...

    Thanks TIC...

Absolute amateurs. I went to one of their presentations as recommended by a friend and nearly walked out laughing. The support member told me verbatim "we are a non for profit organisation" and gave this pathetic Powerpoint presentation claiming property doubles every 7 years. One support...

GILLARD- Is she mad, stupid, guilty..or all three?

    Q. "GILLARD- Is she mad, stupid, guilty..or all three?" A. Incompetent, arrogant and disloyal a dangerous combination in any industry, let alone one that "runs" the country.

Fair call Piston, reading the comment on it's own looks as though I am saying it should be the other way around, which I am not I can assure you. All I meant was that sometimes people are guilty of doing something but for what ever reason it cannot be proven; however, the fact remains they...

    A rascal of lawyers!

    Thankyou Craig Thomson

What a great link, well done. Hope you didn't waste as much time in finding it as I did in reading it. It has absolutely nothing to do with what I was saying; however, thank you for trying (I use the term loosely) to contribute nonetheless.

My steal of the week. $20,000 cairns unit which vendor paid $113,000 for rent $160pw.

I'm sure with Nathan's renovating experience he will ensure his unit stands out from the rest and for little outlay too.

Would you be comfortable with a Child Care Centre hiring an alleged paedophile; however, the conduct was before being involved in child care and the person was not proven guilty? An extreme analogy I know, but I think it makes a point.

Misuse, immoral, against the terms of conditions blah blah blah. Smells like fraud to me regardless of what lawyers say. You could ask ten different lawyers the same question and get eleven different answers. I think it's irrelevant if he did what he is alleged to have done before he was a...

    Credit Card Skimming

Nothing personal Boods, I have many friends and family in retail and I just found your post to be a little on the elitist side. Up here in the NT they have just passed legislation so that all takeaway alcohol purchases require you to produce ID regardless of age, the abuse the staff get for...

    Credit Card Skimming

What did you expect him to say? Why do people expect retail staff to know the ins and outs of EFTPOS and credit card fraud. He is a retail assistant not a fraud investigator with the bank. The system is in place for your convenience, it is obviously open to abuse but what isn't these days...

60 Minutes - The Big Sqeeze story rent vs buy

Well that was disappointing viewing. Picked the worse case studies to show the benefits of renting. It was biased, lacked depth and just plain boring. I think I am a little bit dumber having watched it.

    Self Defence

On second thoughts and review of this thread MMA probably is not the best for this situation taking into consideration the boys age and requirement for such a skill. Best to stick with the basics such as boxing or even better kick boxing. Great for fitness, confidence and self defence...

    Rudd ... I'm baaaaaaaaack

Unlikely, Gillard has signed the ALPs death warrant. The Carbon Tax is similar to Howard's Work choices. The Australian public are simple voters and remember things like this as opposed to the bigger picture.
