    Thanks for the replies. Google is a great thing. I even googled the owners name and found out he works in the finance industry. So maybe he thinks he knows better. Just another quick one. I am assuming if I where to buy the house all deposits would go to the owners solicitor.

    Hi All It is totally untrue that the agent can not email you the contract in QLD we just signed a contract on a house in QLD last week and we are in NSW. Everything has been done by email, you just need to included a clause in the special conditions about using email or fax or correspondence

    As famly of a fifo worker there is now way I would want to move to these smaller towns. For one we have a child with special needs and the service would not be offered there and what happens when the mine closes, everyone packs up and leaves and the town is worse off.
