Is it better to pay off business debt or mortgage first?

Business debt is about four times the size of mortgage. It makes very solid profits as is but could do with some modernising, but it could chug away as is for four or five years churning out pretty reliable profits. I could get rid of the mortgage in a couple of years if I paid the tax to get...

Is it better to pay off business debt or mortgage first?

Is that possible without setting up a loan agreement between the companies? Obviously I should ask my bean counter this stuff but would still appreciate thoughts from SS.

Is it better to pay off business debt or mortgage first?

So, I bought a business a year or so ago and it's doing fairly well. I have a reasonable chunk of profit I'd like to use to pay down some debt, but I'm not sure whether it is better to pay down my business debt or mortage. The mortgage is obviously non deductible, but to pay it off I would need...

    what would you do?

He actually survived being booted off the bridge by swimming to safety, and later saved two people from being eaten by giant bears. And that was after eating a whole wheel of cheese.

Do people buy million $ plus properties for investing?

A house in Adelaide just sold for $5m plus (cant find exact sale price, but was on market for $7.5m!), and is now being offered for rent at $2500 per week, 3% return before expenses. No idea why you would spend that much for such a poor return, especially given the market for houses at that...

    Nathan Tinkler. Tonight 4 corners.

That article doesn't explain how he lost nearly $1 Billion at all, it is just a summary of all the news articles about Tinkler over the last year or so.

Retirement Villages.. Preying on the Elderly?

There are other forms of retirement living that are different to retirement villages but provide the same kind of lifestyle with Community Centres and over 55 age group, security, gardening etc. They are known as residential parks, and come under the Residential Parks Act of each state rather...

Does anyone still use the Yellow Pages?

Its $650 a year for each country region in the state, and there are five of them, plus its about $3.5k to be in the capital city white pages. Then more for the yellow pages website. I google searched caravan parks in the town and the parks own website came up first, followed by a few...

Does anyone still use the Yellow Pages?

I'm talking about the old fashioned brick of a book, not the online site. I've just bought a caravan park and am debating whether to continue advertising with Yellow Pages. The rates are extortionate and I'm not convinced of their benefit. The park I've bought is in a fairly major tourist...

Should I do a tafe course on Building & Construction to help with developments?

I've just finished the Cert IV Building and Construction (Site Supervisor) course. I found some parts of it dead easy, and other parts like the structural principles and estimating/interpreting plans to be a bit trickier as I come from an accounting/finance background not building. I only...

    Losing 10% deposit

What kind of goose puts down 10% deposit on a $1m property? I have found in a couple of deals that as long as you put down a significant sum so the vendor knows you wouldn't walk away from it, say $20-$25k, that is usually satisfactory.
