    Just in time! about to put the doors on at my place, only difference is mine are 4 panel and I've been using dulux aquanamel not enamel :o. Not completely impressed with the aquanamel but whats done is done. So only 1 coat of gloss per side? Thanks for sharing.

    I'm in the same boat as you mate, I am 26 though. Only 1 of my mates is into property investing so it's good to see a few other young blokes on here. Currently reno-ing PPOR and buying IP next year (positive thinking!)

    I just google mapped it and I know where it is, brother in law has a new-ish house out that part of Rutherford and struggled to get tenants in there. I am looking at more of a CG property next not so much CF so Rutherford may not exactly be my first choice.

    Thanks for replying, I have a place in East Maitland out near Morpeth That is fantastic growth pre reno, I had no idea Rutherford was performing that well. Some bargains are sure to be had around Rutherford. Saw a brick place advertised, it was mid reno and a mortgagee sale on 600m2 I think...

    Your first IP - reno vs. newer property?

    Good post ben, very informative. Still undecided on the strategy I want to pursue but yours is what I am leaning too now. Still renovating my PPOR to extract equity which will one day be and IP. Plan is next property to buy a place for reno but one that doesn't require quite as much work.
