No LMI Medico package

Rams now has a medico package. 90% LVR no LMI. Dentists, Pharmacist, optometrist's and Vets...

Interesting its not restricted to first purchases, they will do purchases, refinances, debt consolidation, and equity release, which Im not sure the other medico packages do.

So yeh, interesting...

Wow, the doctors are getting good offers.

There is another one coming out soon too - but only for medical specialists. Up to $1.5 mil at 90% LVR with no LMI. Owner occupied or investment.

Why do these professions get such good treatment? I know pharmacists who make under $50K per annum, so why would they get this deal?

The potential for high income aside (and some medicos have very high incomes), they're considered low risk because their job stability is excellent. Whilst they may move around jobs and many medicos have multiple jobs and contracts at any given time, they're never out of work.

Compare that to an IT professional. Also the potential to earn a very high income, but there's also a large number of IT people out there who are earning average incomes. It's also a sector that can be very heavily hit with down turns and outsourcing, which are often outside of the rest of the economy.

So why don't nurses and teachers get this offer? I would have thought there is job stability in those fields. Or is that where the high income comes in?

Do medicos need to prove savings? A friend's husband is a specialist and was left without a job (not patient related - partners apparently did the dirty). They were without $ for 2 -3months and she said she said they had to sell the beach house. Job security - apparently there are rules that only so many specialists can work in the same region. He has a new position now but has to travel nearly 150k away to work.
