There have been a few polls on this in the past . Thought it would be interesting to see how people were positioned coming in to the fun part of the property cycle.

I could have chosen , actual equity but went for total value of portfolio.

Not many folk are keen to divulge, and there is the element of those who are happy to exaggerate.

A few in between?

I'm not shy;

We are now down to one IP worth about $250k (still vacant).
A PPoR worth about $1.5m, and a business
A business - value unknown, but not a lot.

So, investment portfolio of $250k plus business...pretty pathetic. Almost back to armchair expert status.

Chin up bayview, you are definitely not an 'armchair' expert, you have got out there and tried.

I have a lot of respect for you.

Now you need to get through the cycle.

2x. Just got to keep plugging away mate.

And hey, if it doesn't work out you can always go and live like a king in Bali. :D

Currently on 1.8m from 4 IPs. More than 80% LVR.

90K buffer in offset. Lots of borrowing capacity but no deposit :mad:

Thank you Aaron. See your posts are short but always useful :)

I think I will give a miss. If I don't have enough savings then well I shouldn't buy :rolleyes:

I'm inclined to agree. If you need a $20k credit card to settle a home purchase, then you probably can't afford it in the first place.
