What do you do?

I often wonder about the cross-section of careers and employment of the posters here.

SS is not a typical selection of Aus humans; almost no-one I actually have met or know has been on this site, or even heard of it - and I know a lot of people (because I'm and old b@stard who's lived in a lot of places).

So, without giving many details (or a lot of you feel like it), would you care to tell us what you do for a crust?

Well - yesterday I was prepping the vineyard for pruning - ag show today - horse show Sunday/Monday - finish vineyard Tuesday - architect Wednesday ... hubby works in the mines as a professional.

Retired now....except for 4 months every summer when I am hands-on Evil Landlord :)

Worked for 20 years in a factory (13 years off in the middle to raise a family, & provided childcare for others in my home)

Graphic Designer – predominantly logos/brands (and rolling them out across print and online). I've done a lot of packaging design for both boutique and supermarket products too, and also do some motion design/video editing.

I've worked on a number of property developments (e.g. name, logo, website design, brochure, flyers, press ads, online ads, sales books, display suites, copywriting, videos, investor reports, email newsletters and marketing etc) which is a nice overlap of my profession and my property passion.

And outside of that some photography and journalism.

*obligatory plug* I'm always on the hunt for new opportunities with the right clients.

Structural Engineer - I design and inspect a mixture of residential, commercial and industrial buildings and structures, but predominantly on the industrial side of things.

Director of a small Protective Coatings company.

We specialise in abrasive blasting, industrial coatings, exotic plural component materials such as Polyurethanes/Polyureas/Hybrids, industrial tiling and refractory brickwork, basalt lined piping, other exotic wear linings such as silicone carbide and ceramic alumina, ferrous and non-ferrous (rubber/polyurethane/polyethelene/ceramic) wear plates, scaffolding and light fabrication/fitting!

What a mouthful!
