If people spent as much time trying to increase income as they do trying to cut costs, they would find themselves in a much better position.

What was the 2nd job westy?
Pizza sprinkler/maker until around 9pm then sprinkler and deliverer until 1am at a pizza place in Riverton. Delivery area included Langford which was even rougher in the 90s
. I would work 8-5pm at my day job then 6pm-1am on Friday nights, 5pm-1am on Saturday nights and sometimes another weeknight thrown in. I did 15-20hrs extra with my part time job and it was a cashie that generated $200 a week (this was the 90s and that was a lot of money)

IMHO it is these types of people that achieve the greatest success. They are just hungry! Driven by their reasons to succeed. And those reasons are pounding in their minds, over and over and over. They are massive!! Nothing will stop them. Anything in their way gets bulldozed down every time. Just pure hungry mother ****ers! They develop their mindset as sharp as a razor. they learn the knowledge they need and then know how to get the right people to help them. And they achieve massive, massive success.! Anyone can do it. But very, very few will.
.
lol I was delivering in late 90's / early 2K's to beechboro, lockridge, guildford, bayswater
I delivered in the western burbs. Made more from selling the drugs I received as tips than I did delivering the pizza
And all before Red Bull and energy drinks were invented
now THATS hard! I need my Mother drink..gave me energy many a time after a tripple shift of almost 24 hours!
You can do a lot when you're young and have shitloads of energy. I kept up my second job until I was 23 and had my first IP under construction and Westminster Jnr being a bun in the oven.

Investment is a lot like this, if you make uneducated, speculative and emotional decisions and listen to others without doing your own research then you may find yourself with a lot less money.

Yep earning more is key.
To help pay for current renovations and future plans, I draw all the roofs for our company instead of them outsourcing it at 80c per m2. Boss pays me the same rate, and in return I try do a better job and return it a lot faster than the normal 10 business day lead time (one drawn every weekend).
Making around $25k a year extra doing this. Paid for my new bathroom and leaves a nice redraw buffer for the rainy-day situations.
