Ultimo Units

Ultimo Units Response

Hi all,

Thanks for the extremely insightful comments.

Really fantastic info. Will consider other options to achieve financial goal.

Sureline,

With that much cash, (assuming you have decent income) there are SOOOO many investment options available to build wealth.. your options are endless...

Pouring all that money into a 1 bedder is really insanity.

What's your long terms financial goals? time frame?

Thanks for the comment, LeoT. So many investment opportunities is exactly the problem - can't research them all and can't choose.

Former income 150k. Current income 60k. Projected income is much less.

Long term goal - live overseas in a much cheaper country. Was hoping a cheap one bedroom would achieve that. Obviously not.

So you want to spend $220k and get a rental return of 7-8%?
That's very doable. Just not in Ultimo.

Do a bit of reading on here, I just bought in northern Adelaide with returns like that, but without having to pay strata, electricity, etc.

thoughts on this one?

I read that 5-year-growth for Potts Point/Woolloomooloo units is 60%+ (http://www.yourinvestmentpropertymag.com.au/top-suburbs/nsw-2011-woolloomooloo.aspx)

These units get me excited because I think for a second that I could possibly live in my own place in Inner Sydney and not pay rent....except I don't have a deposit! :)

If you paid $220k of it off straight away, surely it's just going to make you money??
